Tomallo Named Head Coach for Girls Softball
Welcome, Kate Tomallo
We are excited to announce that Kate Tomallo will lead our Varsity Girls Softball team this coming Spring.
Kate Tomallo is a 2019 graduate of Worthington Christian and a four-year varsity starter in soccer and softball. She was instrumental in leading WC to two League Championships in softball, earning All-League, All-District, and All-Metro honors throughout her career. Tomallo led the league with a .679 batting average as a Junior and was Player-of-the Year runner-up her Senior year.
Kate played club softball at Grand Canyon University, where she graduated in three years, and now works at Nationwide Insurance as a Cyber Security Specialist.
“After serving as assistant softball coach at WC for the last two years, I’m excited to step into the head coaching role and give back to the program and school that shaped me into the person I am today,” Tomallo said. “I am passionate about discipleship and helping young women find their identity in Christ.”
“We are incredibly blessed to have Coach Tomallo lead our Warrior softball team,” said WC Athletic Director Tony Earp. “Kate is a gifted teacher of the game and cares deeply about the growth of the student-athletes in their walk with Christ, in the classroom, and their skills on the softball field. As the assistant coach in previous seasons, you can see her passion for the growth of softball at Worthington Christian and care for our student-athletes.”
Please join us in welcoming Coach Tomallo as our new Varsity Head Coach!
