TEACHER TUESDAY: TREVOR WADSWORTH
Trevor Wadsworth has taught in WC’s math department since 2013. He currently teaches Geometry, Advanced Placement Calculus, and Advanced Placement Physics. He is also involved with the Upper School baseball team and Ski Club.
How would you describe your teaching style? “I like to allow students an opportunity to work with the things that they are learning. I encourage students to try to figure things out on their own, providing support when needed. I also like to challenge students to grow and realize that they are smarter and able to do much more than they often think they can.”
What is the most rewarding aspect of your work? “I like seeing students understand something or figure something out that they didn’t think they could do.”
How do you incorporate faith and learning? “Incorporating faith and learning happens most in my classroom through the logical thinking aspect. I enjoy teaching geometry because one of the things that we spend a lot of time on is proofs. It allows me time to talk about why we believe what we believe and how our beliefs are based on fact and have many logical conclusions.”
