Service-learning at Worthington Christian School connects academic knowledge with missional opportunities that provide students with the ability to develop the mind, hands, and heart of Christ while serving others as members of God’s kingdom.
Making an Impact
To support service-learning at Worthington Christian, we have created faculty champions – teachers, coaches, and staff members who are uniquely passionate about different types of service-learning opportunities. These champions serve as liaisons to foster ideas and turn them into projects.
Types of Projects
- Local Outreach – Supporting food banks, shelters, churches, and community projects.
- Mission Trips – Spreading God’s love through domestic and international service, such as our Senior Capstone trip.
- Environmental Stewardship – Caring for God’s creation through projects and service in outdoor settings.
- Mentorship & Tutoring – Encouraging and educating younger students and/or those in our community.
A Lifelong Lesson
Service-learning shapes students into compassionate leaders who carry a heart for Christ and serving others beyond the classroom. By combining education with action, we equip students to serve God and others in whatever path they choose.
