Six Judges Needed for Speech Meet

We need six Speech Meet volunteers for the ACSI District Speech Meet at Cypress Christian School. For Worthington Christian School students to participate in this event, we are REQUIRED to provide speech meet judges. Can you help?

WC students have participated in the ACSI (Association of Christian Schools International) Speech Meet for many years. Students in grades 1-5 memorize Bible verses, fables, poems, and patriotic and original speeches in preparation for an in-classroom competition where the winners are given the opportunity to represent WC at the ACSI Speech Meet.

At the ACSI Meet, children do not compete against each other; rather, each participant is judged individually and receives a rating of superior, excellent, or good.

The event and its preparation are an excellent opportunity for our students to get more comfortable with public speaking in a very nonthreatening environment.

ACSI Speech Meet Details

Date:  Saturday, March 9, 2024

Time Commitment:  8 AM – Noon.  There will be an orientation meeting starting at 8 AM, and it is essential that you come to this meeting. The Meet will end no later than noon.

Location:  Cypress Christian School—377 Alton Darby Creek Rd. Galloway, Ohio 43119

What You Will Do:  Be trained in a group setting and judge a group of students’ selections.

You are not required to have a student at our school to be a judge. Also, past judging experience is not a requirement. Please prayerfully consider this call for Speech Meet judges.
