New Faculty and Staff: Ronald De Genaro
Worthington Christian welcomes Ronald De Genaro as the Seventh Grade Social Studies Teacher in the Upper School. He holds a Bachelor’s Degree from Florida State University in International Affairs, and attended the Education Preparation Institute at Polk State College. Ronald comes to WC, having previously served as a Middle School teacher in Sebring, Florida. Ronald is new to Ohio, coming from Florida where he is one of four siblings. He has recently started attending Contrast Church in Grandview.
We asked all of our new staff members several “getting to know you” questions; we hope you enjoy learning a bit more about Ronald!
What is something people might be surprised to find out about you?
I played college Rugby, and I spent time studying abroad in Moscow, Russia.
What is the first job you ever had?
I worked as a lifeguard.
If you could quickly and easily learn any new skill, what would it be?
How to play guitar.
What is your favorite home-cooked meal?
Tacos.
What is your favorite family tradition?
Eating “Irish Cauldron Stew” and watching the Polar Express with hot chocolate.
What makes a “good day” at school?
A day where students are excited and leave class determined to diver deeper on their own time.
What is the best piece of advice you have ever received?
When you feel like you’re drowning, turn off the faucet. When I felt like I was drowning in college with way too many commitments, my Middle School coach gave me this advice.

1 John 3:1-3 and Proverbs 19:21
