NEW FACULTY AND STAFF: MELISSA SKEELS

Worthington Christian welcomes Melissa Skeels as the new Art teacher for grades K-2. She brings with her an undergraduate degree in Art Education from Ohio University, as well as a graduate degree in Art Education from The Ohio State University. She has more than six years of experience teaching elementary art in public and charter schools and also has experience working in the public art sector and volunteering at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City. She and her husband Mike have three children, two of which attend WC and one that will be entering as a Kindergartener next year. Of her new role, she shares, “Working at WC will provide so many opportunities to share my faith with students and glorify the ultimate artist, God. I can’t wait to begin making the school more colorful and help students express their creativity.”
