Worthington Christian welcomes Jackie Diedrich as the Administrative Assistant in our Advancement Office. She holds a Bachelor’s Degree from Messiah College in Business Information Systems. Jackie served as an IT Consultant for many years before using her administrative gifts and abilities in volunteer and leadership positions at Worthington Christian and her church. She and her husband, Nate, have two children, Sydney (WC ’22) and Sabrina (8th). Their family attends Renew Bible Church.

We asked all of our new staff members several “getting to know you” questions; we hope you enjoy learning a bit more about Jackie!

What is something someone might be surprised to find out about you?
One of my favorite TV shows is Hogan’s Heroes. The episodes get funnier every time I watch.

What is the first job you ever had?
Waitress at a Retirement Home Dining Hall

Who was your favorite teacher in school, and why?
I had a music professor in college that taught Intro to Programming. For two years, he encouraged me to pursue Computer Science because he saw something in me that I could not see. Because of him, I had a wonderful career.

If you could quickly and easily learn any new skill, what would it be?
I would love to be an excellent photographer.

If you had to delete all but three apps on your phone, which ones would you keep?

What is the best piece of advice you have ever received?
I tend to push myself too hard, so when I went off to college, my dad reminded me to “stop and smell the roses.”

What is a passage of Scripture you turn to for encouragement?
Galatians 6:9
And let us not grow weary of doing good, for in due season we will reap, if we do not give up.
