Worthington Christian welcomes Hannah Phipps as a Kindergarten teacher in the Lower School. She holds a Bachelor’s Degree from Shawnee State University in Early Childhood Education. Hannah comes to WC, having previously served in Clay Local Schools in Portsmouth. She and her husband are parents to a 2-year-old daughter. Since moving to Columbus, they have been attending Linworth Baptist Church.

We asked all of our new staff members several “getting to know you” questions; we hope you enjoy learning a bit more about Hannah!

What is something someone might be surprised to find out about you?
At 5’8″ I’m the shortest person in my family – my brother is 6’5″!

What is the first job you ever had?
I was a nanny at Scioto Hills Christian Camp.

Who was your favorite teacher in school, and why?
Mr. Ruby was my high school history teacher. You could tell he loved his job, and made learning fun!

What is your favorite home-cooked meal?
My husband’s cheesy stuffed pasta shells.

What is your most used emoji, what emoji confuses you the most?
and all of the clock emojis confuse me.

If you could quickly learn any new skill, what would it be?
Speaking another language.

What is the best piece of advice you have ever received?
Always remember to have an eternal view on life.

What is a passage of Scripture you turn to for encouragement?
Romans 5:20 and Romans 6:1-2
