NEW FACULTY & STAFF: DR. ERICA VAN DOP
There are lots of new faces around Worthington Christian’s campuses this year, including many new faculty and staff members. See their faces and learn a little bit about them as we feature them on WC’s social media platforms over the coming weeks.
Dr. Erica Van Dop is not necessarily a “new” face at WC (she has two sons and a daughter who are current students), but she is stepping into a new role this year at the school as the Upper School Assistant Principal for grades 9-12. She is coming to WC with a bachelor’s degree, master’s degree, and PhD in Kinesiology. She spent the last ten years as an educator at Otterbein University. She also previously owned a fitness and wellness consulting business. She explains, “I am passionate about creating environments to sustain healthful living across the lifespan.”
Of her transition from working in higher education to WC, she shares, “One of my main motivators is to be able to openly share my faith and encourage young people in their relationship with Jesus. It is an honor to be able to be a part of what God is doing at WC!”
