Worthington Christian welcomes Anna Spurlock as a Spanish teacher in the Upper School. She holds a Bachelor’s Degree from Ohio University in Spanish Education, and a Master’s Degree in Secondary Education from the American College of Education. Anna comes to WC, having previously served in Newark High School. Anna recently got married and she and her husband attend 614 Church.

We asked all of our new staff members several “getting to know you” questions; we hope you enjoy learning a bit more about Anna!

What is your favorite family tradition?
Making Italian Wedding Soup and Veal Cutlets for Christmas.

What is the first job you ever had?
I worked at Giammarco’s Italian Restaurant.

If you could quickly and easily learn any new skill, what would it be?
Crochet!

What is your favorite home-cooked meal?
Anything pasta-related, but I especially love my family’s wedding soup.

What is your most used emoji?

What makes a “good day” at school?
If I laugh and make connections with my students.

What is the best piece of advice you have ever received?
Remember, you are learning and growing, so treat yourself with love and kindness.
