Yellow Team-The students spent the day at Emmanuel House. In the morning, the younger kids were free in the morning, so the team played games, did their skits and songs, and spent time hanging out with the kids doing piggyback rides and running around the courtyard. Then the older kids came out to hang, so the team changed up the program to be shorter, so they could have more organized game time. The older boys played basketball and taught the Dominicans how to play knock out. Others play volleyball and chalk games. I had the opportunity to share my testimony with the kids and Proverbs 3:5-6 to encourage them. The students ate lunches in their classrooms, so we passed out lunches and then headed to the village for 3 home visits. One was to the home of a young boy in a wheelchair, where Brooke Bambey was able to share her own testimony with health issues. The second home had a teenage boy who had autism, and the team was able to pray over him and his family. The last house was the home of a girl who could hear us but could not verbally respond, which was heartbreaking to see. We prayed for her and her family and read an encouraging Bible passage over her before boarding the buses to head back. -Ethan Blank-

Green Team-The team went to Ensanche and a day care today. We ministered to kids in the daycare from the ages of 3 months to 5 years old. We held babies, sang songs, danced until sweat poured down backs, gave shoulder rides, piggyback rides, got their hair done, etc. It was high energy and lots of fun. After a lunch break to regroup and reenergize, Green team had the opportunity to perform their program with the afternoon session of kids at Ensanche–a lot more dancing, singing, skits, games, crafts and face paint to share the love of Christ with the kids around them. A lot of naps happened on the bus road home thanks to lots of expended energy! What a great day. -Grace Hartings-

Red Team-The Red team went to Ensanche. The kids were immediately interactive, engaged and joyful. We ran through our program one time, and the kids were interested and joining in on everything we did. Walking around the inside of the school building was humbling, because the conditions of the building and the bathrooms were so poor. It made us so grateful for what we have at WC. After a break for lunch, we walked to a daycare down the street, and believe it or not, the kids were even more pumped and energized to see us than the morning crew. We held babies, played and did whatever the kids pulled us into doing; we went with the flow. The long bus ride back was quieter than normal, because many of us needed naps! -Courtney Staggs-

Blue Team-The team spent the morning in a village and hung out with younger kids, playing on the road, dancing and having fun! After a quick lunch break back at Score, the team went to the same area and spent time with some of the same kids from earlier as well as new kids that trickled in. We ran our program with songs, skits, crafts and games, and then had some time to just talk one on one with several Dominican kids. Even though it was seemingly a simple day, loving on the kids and seeing them through Jesus’ eyes was so sweet. -Liv Chapman-

Medical Team-The medical team went to a village and saw 51 patients. There were lots of children and babies with their mommas. Cold and flu symptoms were the most common complaints, along with stomach issues. The team worked really well together to help organize the intake, meds and assist the patients. -Mrs. Cunningham-

We are all looking forward to small group time here in a bit(7:15), an evening of worship in the Upper Room, and hearing what God puts on the heart of Mr. Woosley!
