March is National Athletic Trainer Month
Amanda Moskal Has Worked with WC Athletes Since 2008
March is National Athletic Trainer Month, so we wanted to take a moment to highlight Amanda and the work that she does with our Warrior athletes.
Amanda works with OhioHealth Sports Medicine Institute, the largest multidisciplinary sports medicine group in central Ohio, dedicated to treating student-athletes, college athletes, and professional athletes. WC partners with OhioHealth, which provides athletic training services to all our athletes from grades 7 to 12.
Amanda is a familiar face around WC, working with our student-athletes since 2008. Amanda received her Bachelor of Science in Athletic Training and Clinical Management from Bowling Green University, and she is nationally certified by the National Athletic Trainer’s Association. She has extensive injury prevention, recognition, and rehabilitation knowledge.
Amanda is at the Upper School Monday through Friday until JV/Varsity practices and games end. She also serves at all of our home JV and Varsity sporting events. Tuesdays are physician days, where Amanda coordinates with partnering OhioHealth physician Dr. Holst, DO. Amanda tracks all our athletes in terms of performance goals in their sports and their path to return to play when injured. She is an invaluable resource for our coaches, providing education and guidance on proper athlete care and growing athlete ability.
WC Athletic Director Tony Earp said, “Amanda is critical and impactful in keeping our athletes safe, healthy, and competing at their desired level in their sports.”
We are incredibly grateful for how Amanda serves and cares for our student-athletes, their families, and our coaches!
