New Faculty and Staff: Letitia Yoder

Home » All-School News » Staff Spotlight » New Faculty and Staff: Letitia Yoder

Worthington Christian welcomes Letitia Yoder as the Ninth Grade English teacher in the Upper School. She holds a Bachelor’s Degree from Grace College in Secondary English Education with a minor in Journalism, an MS Endorsement, and an ESL Certification. Letitia is a familiar face at WC, as she has served as a substitute teacher here. She and her husband, Mike, have four children – three WC grads and their youngest entering her junior year this year. Their family attends Grace Polaris Church.

We asked all of our new staff members several “getting to know you” questions; we hope you enjoy learning a bit more about Letitia!

What is something someone might be surprised to find out about you?
I love running and waterskiing. Also, we lived in Berlin, Germany, for ten years, and all our kids were born there.

What is your favorite family tradition?
We love having Raclette for Christmas Eve, a special meal in Germany (often enjoyed for New Year’s Eve there.)

Who was your favorite teacher in school, and why?
I enjoyed my English teacher; he challenged us to use our words powerfully and concisely.

Who has the best pizza in Columbus?
Donatos

If you could quickly and easily learn any new skill, what would it be?
Pickle Ball

What is your favorite homecooked meal?
Salmon with vegetables.

What is the best piece of advice you have ever received?
Enjoy each moment. The days pass slowly, but the years pass quickly.

What is a passage of Scripture you turn to for encouragement?
Psalm 46:10
“Be still, and know that I am God. I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth!”
