HOST FAMILIES NEEDED
Over the last several years, Worthington Christian School has developed a partnership with the Columbus-based non-profit organization International Partnership of Education Research and Communication (IPERC). IPERC’s work includes, among several other educational initiatives, partnering with over 200 private schools in the U.S. and Canada to recruit international students and help them navigate the admissions process.
IPERC has facilitated many international students attending WC in past years, many of whom live with host families while they are students here. WC currently has six international students through this partnership. In the coming years, WC hopes to expand its international student program.
IPERC is currently seeking families who are interested in becoming hosts for middle and high school international students for the 2023-24 school year. (A typical host family commitment is for the ten months of a complete school year.) Host families are provided a monthly stipend of $1200 to help care for the student and provide the student with their own room, all meals, and transportation to/from school. IPERC is based out of Columbus and has a local team of dedicated people who support students and host families.
