HONORING OUR PAST: REMEMBERING THE ‘NEHEMIAH’ PROJECT

Home » Archives » 50th Anniversary » HONORING OUR PAST: REMEMBERING THE ‘NEHEMIAH’ PROJECT

God called the Bechtel family to the WC community in 1982. Both Bob and Judy Bechtel joined the school faculty, and their children and grandchildren attended and graduated as Warriors. Bob spent 13 years developing the instrumental program and working with strings and vocal leaders. Judy taught first grade for 11 years and then taught third grade for 25 years.

Judy recalls that first year of coming to WC; it was amidst the major facilities transitions of the early 80s and the renovation of the Westview campus known as the Nehemiah Project. From their very first year at WC, Judy and her family saw the school community unite for the common purpose of building a brighter future for the students. Watch the brief clip below to hear Judy share about this experience in her own words.
