HONORING OUR PAST: FORWARD TOGETHER
The Worthington Christian School Foundation was established in 2012 to give families a vehicle to create funds or contribute to existing funds intended for the future growth and development of the school.
Another major area of financial growth at WC was launched two years later in 2014. That year, the first school-led capital campaign, Forward Together, began. This campaign included the construction of the Upper School for grades 7-12 and renovations and conversion of the existing high school into the Lower School for grades K-6.
After several years of hard work and continued generosity, WC was ready to break ground on the construction of the Upper School building addition. The school hosted a celebratory groundbreaking ceremony on March 1, 2019.
Named after beloved high school principal Tom Anglea, who passed away in 2012, the Tom Anglea Upper School (for grades 7-12) building was dedicated in a small ceremony on September 13, 2020.
The Westview Campus was sold, and students in grades 1-5 were relocated to the former high school and site of Worthington Christian’s original school building. The Kindergarten also moved from the church’s Early Childhood Center to the newly renovated Lower School.
