Flanigan Named Head Coach for Girls Tennis
Welcome Angela Flanigan
We are excited to announce that Angela Flanigan will lead our Girls Tennis teams this year. Flanigan, who served as Assistant Coach last year, will step into the role after Dino Tsibouris stepped down as head coach this Spring.
Flanigan has played tennis for more than 45 years, including high school and during her four years at Wheaton College, where she started in singles and doubles for three of those years.
She continues to play competitively through the USTA leagues, leading several of her teams to districts, states, and even nationals in 2023. Coach Flanigan looks forward to helping the girls grow spiritually and athletically through tennis. Flanigan and her husband, David, have four kids: Jake (WC ’20), Patrick (WC ’24), Emma (12th), and Noah (9th).
“It is a blessing to have a returning coach step into the Head Varsity position for the Girls Tennis Team this Spring,” said Athletic Director Tony Earp. “Angela has a heart for Christ and teaches tennis to help develop well-rounded, confident athletes on the court and in their daily lives. Angela is determined to build a competitively tough team this Fall and build off the momentum Coach Dino Tsibouris instilled last season. When speaking with Angela, her goal is that each student athlete will grow in the game throughout the season, and if committed to it, that each reaches their stated goals.”
Please join us in welcoming Coach Flanigan as our new Varsity Head Coach!
