Fueling Creativity and Learning in Every Classroom

As we approach the end of the year, Worthington Christian School is excited to highlight two dynamic initiatives that are part of our Greater Things Annual Giving CampaignStudent Innovation Grants and Faculty Innovation Grants. These grants fuel creativity and drive innovation, empowering students and teachers to explore new ideas, implement transformative projects, and enhance the learning experience.

Investing in Future Leaders: Student Innovation Grants

Student Innovation Grants give students the unique opportunity to pursue projects in research, community development, and educational initiatives. Students develop valuable leadership, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills when working independently or in teams. Through these grants, they can pursue projects that make a tangible impact within WC and beyond, fostering a hands-on approach to learning.

“These grants allow our students to see their ideas come to life, turning their ambitions into action,” says Christina Hoverman, Director of Teaching and Learning. “When students are empowered to innovate, they gain confidence and learn that they can make a real difference. It’s a gift to their education and the entire community.”

Empowering Educators: Faculty Innovation Grants

Through Faculty Innovation Grants, the WC faculty is equally empowered to bring their educational visions to the classroom. This program enables faculty to explore new approaches to teaching, implement advanced learning tools, and design projects that enrich student engagement. With support for specialized equipment, technology, and creative teaching methods, teachers can inspire and elevate student learning in meaningful, impactful ways.

Hoverman shares, “Our teachers are passionate about finding new ways to connect with students and bring learning to life. The Faculty Innovation Grant program provides them with the resources to make their ideas a reality, ultimately enhancing the learning environment for everyone.”
