Worthington Christian welcomes Crystal Durflinger as an Educational Aide in our Lower School. She holds a Bachelor’s Degree from The Ohio State University. Christina comes to WC after serving as a stay-at-home mom and as a foster care family for five years. Crystal and her husband, Mike, are parents to three children and several former foster children, and their family attends Rock City Church.

We asked our new staff members several “getting to know you” questions; we hope you enjoy learning more about Crystal!

What is something someone might be surprised to find out about you?
We got our first two pets, bunnies, a few months ago and are picking up our first family dog in a few weeks.

What was the first job you ever had?
I was a cosmetologist and worked in a Spa doing hair, nails, pedicures, and facials!

What is your favorite family tradition?
We go to a family Christian camp in Michigan for a week in the summer. We also love going to our cabin in Pennsylvania. It has been in the family for over 50 years.

Who has the best pizza in Columbus?
Jets

What is your most used emoji?


If you could quickly and easily learn any new skill, what would it be?
To fly a plane.

What is the best piece of advice you have ever received?
“Raise your children the best you can, but God will take care of the rest.” -Dobson

What is a passage of Scripture you turn to for encouragement?
Proverbs 3:5-6
Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make straight your paths.
