Coach Hamilton Reaches 100 Career Wins
Congratulations to Head Bowling Coach, Matt Hamilton
Head of WC’s Bowling Program, Matt Hamilton, reached his 100th career win last night with the WC Varsity Girls Bowling Team against Beechcroft High School.
In this year’s Winter Sports Preview, Hamilton said, “We have the potential to go undefeated this year if everyone stays healthy and keeps improving,” Hamilton said. “We are a young team with many skilled bowlers. My goal is for them to see the strength God has blessed them with, to come together and be strong for each other.”
Hamilton has been coaching WC’s Bowling teams since 2016. In February of this year, Hamilton was named as Mid-State League’s Bowling Coach-the-Year.
When asked what the most rewarding part of coaching was as part of his 2020 Coach Spotlight, Hamilton said, “I enjoying teaching. I love the look in someone’s eyes when they “get it”. I see the hard work the kids put in and watch the consistency and improvement at the matches. I love it when I can sit back and watch the kids perform without my help. When they know what they are doing and I can just become a cheerleader for them.”
