Youth Basketball

The tradition begins here.

The Warrior Basketball League is a long-standing tradition of the WC Athletic Department. It’s designed to provide boys and girls with an enjoyable and competitive learning experience. Open to boys and girls in kindergarten through fifth grade. Players are not expected to know all the rules and fundamentals. Participation is open to non-WC students.

Participants compete in separate leagues based on the number of participants in each grade, and they will receive equal playing time. Before games are played, fundamental skills are taught and practiced. All games are officiated and consist of two 12 to 20-minute halves (running clock), depending on age. The season concludes with a league tournament. Each participant receives a league jersey to keep.

2025 League Dates: January 4, 11, 18, 25, February 1, 8

Times: All league activities are scheduled between 8 AM and Noon. Schedules are posted here before the start of the season.

Location: All league activities are held in the Upper School’s Hogue Gym, 1485 Lazelle Rd.
