ALUMNI SWEETHEARTS: MIKE AND TIFFANY EDWARDS
Mike (WC ’91) and Tiffany (Shindle WC ’92) Edwards’ met in the youth group at Grace Polaris Church.
How many years have you been married? We’ve been married for 26 years.
When did you first meet? We met while in Evidence (youth group at Grace). We were both on the ‘Scono’ team as we lived in the northeast area of Columbus.
When was your first date? We became a couple after Mike asked me to Homecoming my sophomore year – his junior year. We’ve been together ever since – that was 33 years ago.
What do you know about God now that you didn’t know before you were married? We always joke, “Be careful who you marry!” You are faced with the good and bad of each other every day plus your kids’ display of those good AND bad traits as well! God has used us to sharpen each other as we’ve been best friends from the beginning,
What advice would you give those hoping to marry one day? Our BEST advice would be to experience God’s love and healing for yourself – as our love for others then pours out from there. For us that has meant great counseling, evaluations, and lots of prayer and searching until we’ve developed a greater understanding of who each of us is and how we relate to others. It’s been eye-opening and mind-blowing! We have seen His deep love for us in the love He has given us for each other during that process.
