ALUMNI SWEETHEARTS: ALBERT AND NIKKI MILLER

Albert and Nikki (Messana) Miller (WC ’13) first met in high school study hall.

How many years have you been married? 4.5 years. June will be our 5 year anniversary.

When did you first meet? We first met in study hall. I was tutoring Nikki in Geometry our sophomore year and we became great friends first. We started dating in the summer of 2011. We dated for 6 years before getting married in 2017 after both graduating from The Ohio State University. So while we have only been married for 4.5 years we have been together for over a decade.

When was your first date? Our first “official” date was the summer of 2011. We went to the movies together.

What do you know about God now that you didn’t know before you were married? Our relationship really grew with the LORD through our marriage. We came to know God through experiential knowledge by choosing to abide and walk with Him through whatever life had in store. This deepened our relationship with one another and drew us closer to Christ.

What advice would you give those hoping to marry one day? Our advice would be to always invest time in each other first. My wife and I can honestly say that we are best friends and love to spend time together. Even the mundane things in life can be fun when you get to do them with someone you love to be with.
