ALUMNI SWEETHEARTS: ALAN AND HEATHER MALONE

High school sweethearts met freshmen year.

Since it’s the month of love, we thought it would be fun to catch up with a few high school sweethearts. Today we check-in with Alan and Heather (Conroy) Malone (WC ’82).

How many years have you been married? We have been married for 30 1/2 years.

When did you first meet? We met our freshman year.

When was your first date? Our first date was Junior/Senior of our junior year. We went our separate ways during our freshmen year of college and reconnected at our fifth class reunion.

What do you know about God now that you didn’t know before you were married? God is faithful in good times and bad.

What advice would you give those hoping to marry one day? Be patient; God will provide the right mate when it is the right time.
