All-School Medicine Drive
Coming Alongside Three Strands Ministry to Serve the C.A.R. and Haiti
We have been incredibly blessed to have Jordan Damon from Three Strands Ministry speak in both our Lower School and Upper School chapels this month!
Jordan shared with students about Three Strands, a ministry that provides compassionate, competent, and Christ-centered medical care focused on the underserved people in the Central African Republic (C.A.R.) and Haiti. In one story, Jordan shared about a man named Ernest. Ernest had been walking on a broken femur for two months before he came to the clinic in the CAR. In addition to a plan to heal his leg, the clinic gave him a bottle of Ibuprofen. Ernest returned the next day incredibly grateful, sharing that it was the first time he had slept through the night in two months.
Worthington Christian is partnering with Three Strands to stock their three pharmacies in the CAR and Haiti. Three Strands cares for over 1,200 patients a month at their clinics. Many of the medications they provide aren’t available in these countries and must be shipped.
