Kindergarten Academics
Your child and our youngest Warriors are beginning formalized learning outside the comforts of home, and that requires finding new rhythms. This is why much of our early learning focuses on how to work, play, and engage with others, understanding classroom protocols, and recognizing and rewarding actions that facilitate learning to create an engaging introduction to the school experience your child will love.
Laying foundations for lifetime learning
Kindergartners will learn a lot in their time with us. They will learn to count to 20, begin subtraction, learn to tell time, recite the alphabet, sight words, and form letters. There will be plenty of singing, creating, worshiping, and Bible-based storytelling as we work together to build individual character and cultivate a love for this distinctively Christian educational experience.
Making Learning Experiential
Creativity Gets Hands-On
Whether using crayons, clay, fingerpaint, or found objects, kindergartners will express their creativity through a variety of mediums while also learning about patterns and shapes, stenciling, and collage-making. Hands-on learning through the arts opens up the wonder and possibility we’ll continue to nurture in our arts programming as your child grows.
Imparting A Love For Music
Musically, kindergartners will discover rhythm and tempo across various notes and beats. And they will get to express themselves through music classes that will culminate in an annual concert for parents.

Engaging Parents
Kindergarten offers many opportunities for parents to be an active part of their child’s school experience. Field trips with parent chaperones and separate Dads & Donuts and Moms & Muffins events for sons and daughters are special occasions that our Kindergarteners cherish. Parents also get into the act through classroom volunteering, Dad Lab, Warrior prayer, mom’s prayer groups, and school-wide events, all of which work to knit Kindergarteners—and their families—into the fabric of the larger WC community and foster belonging.

Youth Athletics
Getting Kids In The Game
At this young age, we want kids to be active, move, and have fun in their play. The rules of the game matter less than the spirit of the game and the joy associated with participating. Worthington Christian offers youth flag football and youth basketball opportunities at the Kindergarten level that are also open to the broader community. Additionally, summer camps are offered across a variety of sports to introduce young athletes to a number of different opportunities.

For k-6 Students
After School Care Available
Worthington Christian School offers School-Aged Child Care (SACC). This after-school program is available from 3:30 p.m. to 6 p.m. for students in grades K-6. Students enrolled in SACC are involved in various age-level activities, including school study time. There is an additional cost for the SACC program, and space is limited.
