Coach Kraynak Begins First Year as Varsity Baseball Head Coach

WC is excited to formally announce Michael Kraynak (WC ’06) as the next Varsity Baseball Head Coach. We are excited to have Coach Kraynak assume the head coaching role this Spring after serving as an assistant coach with the program since 2010.

“We are excited and fortunate to have Coach Michael Kraynak as our Head Baseball Coach at Worthington Christian,” Athletic Director, Tony Earp, said. “With his vast amount of experience as a coach and high-level player, we know he will lead this program forward, helping our student-athletes grow and develop in their love for Christ and ability to play baseball. Coach Kraynak is an outstanding mentor and example for the WC athletes pursuing their goals on and off the baseball diamond.”

At WC, Kraynak served as a varsity starter on the team all four years of high school.

Coach Kraynak went on to play baseball for Taylor University, where he was a highly decorated student-athlete. He was a two-time honorable mention NAIA All-American, MCC Conference Player-of-the-Year, and First Team All-MCC Conference, among other honors. Kraynak finished his time at Taylor as the recipient of the Gates-Howard Male Athlete of the Year Award in 2010 and was inducted into the TU Athletic Hall of Fame in 2017.

Coach Kraynak graduated from Taylor with a degree in Sports Management and went on to serve as Huntington Bank’s VP and Manager in the Anti Money Laundering Department. Last year, he began a new role with PayPal as an Audit Manager in their Financial Crimes Department. He is married to Natalie D’Onofrio Kraynak (WC ’07), and they recently welcomed a baby boy in September.

Coach Kraynak looks forward to coaching and mentoring WC student-athletes to grow closer to Christ, their joy and skill to play baseball and prepare them for life beyond the baseball diamond.

Join us in congratulating Coach Kraynak!
