Worthington Christian welcomes Jenaye McNeal as the Gifted Education Teacher in the Lower School. She holds a Bachelor’s Degree from Mount Vernon Nazarene University in Early Childhood Education with a Reading Endorsement. Jenaye returns to WC, having most recently served as a Fourth Grade Teacher at Central College Christian School. She and her husband, Brian, are parents to Kindrin (4th) and Kyer (2nd), who will attend WC this year. Their family attends LifePointe Church.

We asked all of our new staff members several “getting to know you” questions; we hope you enjoy learning a bit more about Jenaye!

What is something someone might be surprised to find out about you?
I love adventure. Skydiving and scuba diving on the Great Barrier Reef are both on my bucket list.

What was the first job you ever had?
Working in our family florist business.

Who was your favorite teacher in school, and why?
Mrs. Galbraith, who was my high school ceramics teacher at WC. She was kind and encouraging.

Who has the best pizza in Columbus?
Donatos

If you could quickly and easily learn any new skill, what would it be?
Cake decorating.

What is your favorite homecooked meal?
BBQ chicken with sweet potatoes.

What is the best piece of advice you have ever received?
Keep God number one, and the rest will fall into place.

What is a passage of Scripture you turn to for encouragement?
Joshua 1:9
Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be frightened, and do not be dismayed, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go.”
