New Faculty and Staff: Ashley Davis
Worthington Christian welcomes Ashley Davis as our Substitute Coordinator. Ashley attended the Psychology Program at Columbus State Community College and comes to us having previously served as Vendor Coordinator for A2Z Field Services. She and her husband, Matt, are parents to three boys (14, 13, 2), and their family attends Refinery Church.
We asked all of our new staff members several “getting to know you” questions; we hope you enjoy learning a bit more about Ashley!
What is something someone might be surprised to find out about you?
I have written over 30 songs.
What is your favorite family tradition?
When I was growing up, my family would do progressive dinners at Christmas time. We would go to my aunt’s house for appetizers; then we would all go to my other aunt’s house for dinner; then we would end up at my grandma’s for dessert and then open presents. I hope to pass this tradition down to my children.
Who was your favorite teacher in school, and why?
My high school choir teacher believed in my musical abilities and gave me opportunities to use and expand my talent.
What is your favorite homecooked meal?
Grandma’s homemade pizza.
If you could quickly and easily learn any new skill, what would it be?
To be able to speak Spanish fluently.
What is your most used emoji?
What is the best piece of advice you have ever received?
To set healthy boundaries in every relationship.
What is a passage of Scripture you turn to for encouragement?
When life gets mundane, I remember 1 Corinthians 10:31, which reminds me that even if I’m home changing diapers all day, I am doing everything for the glory of God.
So, whether you eat or drink, or whatever you do, do all to the glory of God.
