Mark Mousa enjoys being active and has a
love for running. As head coach of WC’s Track and Field team, he is passionate about modeling his faith and coaching young people to depend on Christ to guide and direct their thoughts, words, and actions at school, at work, with family, at sports, and play.

How would you describe your role at WC?
“My role is to encourage young men and women who enjoy running, athletics, competition, and fellowship. I want to encourage and help them reach their running, jumping, or throwing goals.”

How did you get into coaching?
“I have always been involved in a wide variety of sports myself, running both track and cross country through high school and continuing with track briefly in college. My high school coaches were a big influence because they took the time to get to know me and support me in athletics, school, and life. I still talk to some of them today…30 years later.”

What is the most rewarding thing for you about coaching?
“I really enjoy being with young people and helping them accomplish their goals and better themselves. I enjoy seeing them use their talents for the Lord.”

How do you incorporate faith into your coaching?
“My faith is who I am as a man, husband, father, friend, and coach, I seek to model this. Being a Christian is who you are all the time. I am blessed to be able to help WC student-athletes see that how they work, compete, treat their family members, friends, and competitors matters to God. I want anyone who comes into contact with me and our WC Track and Field team to know that we love the Lord and we love each other.”
