Encouragement from Genesis 15:1

“Do not be afraid, I am your shield, your very great reward.” Genesis 15:1

This verse makes me feel comforted by God even when things get tough and I might be afraid. We all occasionally experience loneliness, sadness, or grief, but during those times we can pull out a Bible and think about how Jesus loves us so much. He will protect us and guide us through everything that is going on.

This is my prayer for all of us: Dear God, I thank you for all of the WCS community. I pray for any families that are going through financial struggles and for anybody feeling sad or anxious. I also pray for all of the doctors and nurses and other essential workers in our community. I pray for all our school leaders and national leaders, that they can make wise decisions. God, thank you for giving us a school community where we can talk about Jesus and pray. I pray that we can all have a great rest of our day. In Jesus’ name, I pray, Amen.
