WHEN HARD THINGS HAPPEN
Jesus tells us hard things will happen, but He promises peace in the midst.

Jesus told His disciples in John 16:33: “I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world.”
God is in control. Jesus has already defeated sin and death, so even when hard things happen–and Jesus says hard things will happen–we know that the hardship will not last forever and that Jesus can give us peace. The peace He gives is so incredible that it will calm the fears and doubts inside us and give us a blanket of comfort! That is really what the world needs right now…a peace that surpasses all understanding. In a world so filled with doubts and questions, one thing stands alone as a beacon of hope: Jesus’ words.
