2020 ALUMNA OF THE YEAR: SUZY (MOESCHBERGER) ROTH (WC ’86)
1986 graduate honored for work with orphan care, adoption, and foster care
Established in 2009, the annual Alumni of the Year award is an opportunity for the WC community—both past and present—to collectively celebrate the mission of the school being lived out among its 2,800 graduates.
A committee representing a cross-section of the school selects the recipient based on the following criteria:
- Graduate of WC;
- Warrior for Christ;
- Ambassador (positive spokesperson/representative) for WC; and
- Difference-maker in his/her profession, community, or ministry.
The 2020 recipient of the Alumna of the Year award is Suzy (Moeschberger) Roth, a member of the Class of 1986. Suzy is the founder and executive director of Hands of Hope, a nonprofit organization whose mission is to “uniquely and deeply love orphans at home and around the world.”
Traditionally we recognize the Alumni of the Year at graduation. Due to COVID-19, Head of School Troy McIntosh recognized Suzy via video chat. Learn more about Suzy’s work and hear her encouragement for the Class of 2020 in this brief video.
